Stopped by the roadside to witness this amazing event. Amazing because of the sheer rugged, hardiness of the sheep's birthing technique. She dropped these two lambs within 10 minutes of each other, both of which I saw come into the world – just such an efficient process. Both lambs were fine and up & about in minutes. Now if only humans...

I guess the 15" drop is akin to the traditional slap on the back the baby gets! That is quite an event you caught and nicely photographed too. I was down in Sussex visiting my mum in April and saw plenty of lambs then but not the actual occasion of lambing. Hopefully, those two little ones will make it to sheephood rather than be sent to the kabob factory....
