 This was a completely random encounter and capture whilst out enjoying the sunshine in the park. I love the expression on his/her face and the floppy ears look just silky soft to touch.

Hello from the Critique club, my name is Jon Rowe, and i will be looking at your image this evening :)

Composition/Lighting : The lighting could not be anymore perfect here. composition is a bit lacking, though. the centered subject with nothing around it makes me want more, and somewhat lacks the "wow" factor. even if it was having the dog laying, where it didn't look uncomfortable.

Challenge : definitely meets the challenge. beautiful dog, and gorgeous silky smooth hair. you portrayed this well!

Conclusion : great job, i think that with the same lighting and a different composition (i know dogs are so hard to work with) this could have scored higher. you did a great job, though. very nice work :D

What an amazing capture. Beautiful in every way. A fine technical achievement as well. It may have scored only 5.8 but if I could capture and process an image as good as this I'd be thrilled. Obviously you got a 10 from me.

Excellent clarity, almost like I could reach out and pet the dog. The pose is not my favorite but I really like the photo.

I have got to tell ya.

I HATE most pet images.

But, I love this one.

Not sure about Silky or Smooth, but, photographically speaking this is a great image. Deserves to be available for a print.

I normally give out detailed critiques, but, for now I am just giving out scores. 7

A fantastic photo! Too nitpick, that single blade of grass is distracting. I love the detail on both the dog and the surroundings. Its exposed just right!

I normally rate pictures of people's pets and children low. They're never as good as the the photographer thinks. This one, however, is great. Has a "painterly" feel.
