Taken from the Blue Ridge Parkway between Buchanan and Roanoke, VA. We had some strong thunderstorms pass through the area and I couldn't resist driving up to the parkway to try and capture some of the leftover mist & fog.
I know that "religion" is not a wise "public" topic, but I couldn't resist entering it under that guise - the image just fit too perfectly. My guess is that the DPC voters won't find it as engaging as I do, but I'm pleased with the shot and the presentation. [I am NOT trying to preach or make fun of anyone's personal beliefs.]
Converted from RAW. PP included (MS Digital Image Pro 10 & PS 7.0): crop, clone brush to remove some sensor dust, levels/curves, selective color, channel mixer, contrast, dodge/burn, resize, sharpen, save for Web.

| Here is another shot that I can see as being an actual album cover. I can almost hear the infomercial now, "But wait! If you order now we will give you the newest album by DPL absolutely free. Hurry, supplies are limited." Great shot. |
