here's the promised comment, for commenting on my photo. a bit late, but not forgotten ;)

first, the blur looks amazing. It just fits with the atmosphere and symmetry this photo has. b/w conversion looks perfect for me, good contrasts in the shadow-parts and nice gray-tones.

I wouldn't say this is a night shot. well done!

I can't use this picture in the vanishing point challenge because of the blur..which I personally think makes the picture

You took this picture at night? What a hoot - doesn't look like a night photo at all! Love these old bridges, and great for the upcoming vanishing point challenge if you have some other outtakes you aren't showing here.

My thoughts exactly Sandy, this is great, I really like the dof, with the areas of focus really well defined. Great exposure too for a ngiht shot.
