Thank you to everybody who commented. You were all very generous! This was my first entry and I tried twice to de-enter this but I'm glad I kept it in because your suggestions and critiques are invaluable. You asked the questions:

Can she cook? No
Can I get her number? No
Alansfreed: Yep! LOL
Looking good is hard -- sometimes impossible -- hope we never have a "self portrait" challenge.
Her father painted the big flower on the wall, thank you.
The blouse isn't fuzzy. Must be my shakey hand.

Thank you again to everybody. I think with some PS trickery I can add this to my album.

Nice painted background. Perhaps you could have moved a little left while taking the picture, and zoomed a little bit on the top ( to avoid the yellow on the top and the right).

Good photo. Parts of me like the hair in front of the face (adds some mystery), while the rest of me says show the face. Is the blouse made of a fuzzy materiel? Most of the photo looks fairly crisp, except for the blouse. 8 Swash

Nice shot! Good lighting on her and her reflection without catching any flash glare.

I would like to see more of the face, and less background

Girls and their hair stuff. I think I have that Good Shepherd picture somewhere around my house too. Did she paint that picture of the big flower. It's pretty good.

mood captured - they always get it to look so good on TV, it can't be that hard, can it?
sincerity of expressions - good

I like the concept, and she does look like someone who doesn't need to do much to herself to look good :) I think there are a few too many distractions, though, like the image taped to the mirror (I'll probably go to hell for suggesting that it not be included...). Great concept, though.

I like the reflection, and the colors. Decent composition, etc. The only thing I can suggest is that it'd be better if she was having a different expression or turn slightly to the right so her face can be seen in the reflection. I like it -- it keeps me wanting to look at the mirror. Oh yeah, one more thing: Can I get her number? :-) Just kidding. 7.5 = "8" paganini
