 Changed the angle slightly by .5 degree - the post looked a bit tilted to me. Cropped and used Alien Skin Exposure for the b/w conversion. Toning warm brown setting at 50% with some added grain to the highlights and slight grain to the shadows.

I love the contrast between light and dark. Makes for a great B&W (brown & white). The curve in the bottom rail gives a touch of whimsy too.

Nicely shot and processed; I like the b&w conversion you chose (so many options in Alien Skin). The range of tones is nice, and the lines give the image some gentle movement from top to bottom.

Great lighting. I like how the stairwall goes from light to dark and that the railing goes from curve to straight. Nice crisp lines and tones.

I love this shot, wonderful dof and the black and white captures a feeling of slightly dilapidated grandeur perfectly...Stangely this feels almost enhanced by the fact that the shot is so sharp and you have avoided going for a noisy/grainy effect

This is very artistic, and has beautiful tones. I love the white especially -- how it makes the rest of the photo pop and look more nostalgic!

Excellent "post" processing (pun intended). Seriously, you have very fine tones in this image. The marble in the background has that age-old look found in so many old public buildings. Well done.
