 Taken at the Great Salt Lake on a foggy day. If you look closely, you can see the salt build up under some of the rocks.

Even with December rules, after desaturating on the Green channel (the water was a pale green), I only increased contrast and magnified the fog's effects slightly with a medium gaussian blur of about 30 pixels, faded to 20%.

Nice composition. Very moody. The simple composition makes this very eye catching. The contrast is incredible. The reflections of the rocks in the water is just beautiful. I think that the black border takes away from the subject because of its darkness.

very pretty. love the negative space. gives a feeling of solitude.. but is also a welcoming spot to sit quietly..

I really like the negative space in this shot, and the ripples in the water add just enough texture to give the photo that extra something to make it stand out, black and white works well with this as well. Nicely done! 9

Wow you really dodged and burned this one... looks good. But the problem is: The "burned" rocks are totally dominant in the picture, and not the WATER. :) I would have also cropped out a little more of the unneeded white area.

Fantastically artsy. I love it- others may say it is a bit unnatural looking- but I prefer to say that it is supernatural looking.

While I like this shot after studying it for a few moments it leaves me wanting a little more of the water in the photo. If those ripples could have been maintained a little further out I would like it better but by no means is that going to affect my score. Good job.
