Ok, I have to get the vacation shots in!

Mary noticed the break in the clouds coming so we ran around to the other side to get this angle. I shot this lying on the ground to get as much of the sky as possible. We were on a tour bus from London that went to Windsor Castle, Bath, and Stonehenge. The only down side is you only get about 45 minutes at Stonehenge. I think we got lucky!

I took 7 diffrent exposure settings from 1 RAW image, -3 to +3 stops on the exposure slide. Combined them all in Photomatix for the HDR and tone mapping.

Opened in PS
masked off stones
adjust expsoure on the sky
adjust levels and color balance on stones
cloned out 2 people on the left (very small)
cloned out what appeared to be some grafitte on one of the stones
size
USM
Neat Image
add border
save for web

This may get a few DNMC, I think it fits perfectly with the book "Oh, The Places You'll Go!"

Gorgeous, gorgeous shot! Absolutely love the capture of the light rays on the stones. I might try saturating the color just a bit more but the composition is wonderful.

Great sky and light beams in this shot. I think it is a tad over sharpened and is making the stone look flat = 7

Wow! What amazing lighting you've captured here. Your composition is lovely with the angle of those rays, the low horizon and the clouds and structure itself. The colours are great too.

Wonderful composition that makes it seem all the rays end in Stonehenge. Should top ten.

One of the best shots in this challenge! Having compared this to the rest of the entries I'd say that this should be in the top 10 somewhere. Who knows, maybe one of the places this image will go is to the ribbons - good luck.

The title is the only link to the Dr. I'm afraid people will mark you down for this. Great photo otherwise.
