Sorry for not having some details earlier. I shot this the last day of the challenge, on my evening bike ride. I liked the way the setting sun was hitting this area off of the bike path, so I climbed down and explored a bit, and found this lovely tree catching sunset light.

I used a GND, and I was bracketing exposures. This is three RAW exposures combined in Photomatrix. Other than that and tonemapping, very little editing.

I think the tilt is an illusion--you are not seeing a true horizon, but in any case I guess it may look tilted.

I remember this from the challenge, I thought it would be near the top. Great use of HDR, very subtle but effective.

Very nice use of expert editing tools. The image is lovely. However, while it might be an optical illusion, it seems to me that the horizon tips just a tad to the left. So, 7 instead of 8.

Wow! Niiiice! ~10
Added, obviously you know what you're doing, but I would consider, just consider, cropping off a little from the bottom (or somehow moving closer or up a bit). Two reasons, (1) I think I'd like the horizon line a tad lower, and (2) the bottom part, to the left is sort of "messy", whereas the rest of the picture is not, and it draws too much attention.

Really beautiful. The line of the tree crossing diagonally across the frame is stunning, given the rich coppery tones of the trunk. I love the warm/cool color scheme. I wonder what it would look like if you adjusted curves? Hmmm maybe too dark, but I'd try it for fun. Ain't mother nature grand??
