Shot is a bit close for it to be the entire head... I think it would have been neat to get closer and shoot just one section of the dog's head - like a victim of a violent crime.... Also would hav eliked to see a difference in color for background from face....

Nice photo! A different background than one which has almoist the same colour like the plush would be better. Flashlight is ok here because it creates these nice bright points in the eyes which makes pepito alomost alive.

Great photo but it may be time to throw him away. 7 - Martin.

Nice close up and good framing. Lighting is a bit flat, though. A light to one side might have brought out the texture of his fur more. - floyd

Who could say no to that face?

That's a hard life. I think the background could have had more contrast. 7 Swash

A title like "Tough Love" or "Well Loved" would have made this more compelling.

good composition :) The only detail i see here that could possibly make an improvement would be a white balance adjustment. Good work :) - jmsetzler

Very loved little dog. This made me smile. The lighting, angle and frame filling is great. Definately a centimental photo. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

I have toys that look just like that. My husband doesn't get why I keep them. :)

Oh, how sweet this is. Cropped a bit too tight, but really sentimental.

Poor guy! Looks like he had a lot of adventures!

Wow that dogs been through some tough drying machines. :) I like the framing on this but if it was lit from all sides to remove the shadow it would have been even better. 6.

He's really been "loved" hasn't he?

A cute portrait of a well worn, well loved friend. I think a little more color in the picture would have been nice. And... don't use the name of the challenge in the title, no way, no part, no how!

Well loved doggie. Velveteen Rabbit has nothing on this one.
