I suppose not many people will think this meets the challenge, but I feel it does. It does (or should) make you think "Bubbles", only you're seeing some deformed ones. My thought was to be a bit abstract with this, turning pretty transparent bubbles into.. very black triangles.
The setup involved thick paper cut into triangles of various sizes taped to a white wall, a thingie that you use to blow bubbles with, which I painted black except for the white parts. It also involved one sister, holding said bubble-blowing-thingie.
I suppose I could have improved it a lot by paying some attention to the details, like perhaps directing some light on her hair and having a softer flash to eliminate the hard shadows (and perhaps one that spreads a bit more, as can be seen in the lower left corner).
In the post-processing, I cropped it, levelled it (heavilly.. a very gray color I turned white and just a bit darker gray color I turned black), color-balanced it a bit, turned it a bit redder, cropped it, sharpened it, shrunk it and then sharpened it again.
I hope that answers all questions you may have.

Greetings from the Critique Club.

I always like pictures that show creativity.
Very clever idea and well executed.
I think you did a good job critiqueing yourself in thr comments.

Better fill lighting would have helped the shadows.

The comments were positive and the most of the scores seemed fair, except for the 5 ones.
Some people take things to literally.

Congrats on nice picture and good luck in your future challenges.

Karen

A light on the background behind the girl would get rid of the shadows and provide some seperation between her and the background. Then you wouldn't need so much light on her shirt, which looks a little blownout.

Very creative! Love the idea and execution is quite good. There's a distracting shadow under the model's chin, but it doesn't detract too much.
