 My son Samuel. Shot with a Canon 550EX flash, light bounced off the ceiling. Hand held.

Not much processing involved. Converted to gray scale, then played with Levels. Cloned out some of his hair. Neat imaged to smoothen out the skin.

What a precious little photo. And he looks just like daddy :-)) All he needs now is a camera around his neck (ofcourse a custom sized one) :-))

I think I have officially hung out at DPC for too long, cause I know who's who in the Kid pics. Very well done. I especially liked the version of this with the Santa hat, and even wanted to copy the idea, but never got around to it over the holidays. Baby potraits don't get much better than this one. Cheers

Nice, I like it. One thing though, at least on my computer screen, the dark portion of the hair (towards the back) makes it look like he's wearing a little yarmulka (sp?). The skintones and the eyes are really good. I'm so glad you didn't use the "glow" effect that is so common now, together with the "plastified" skin - it's much better this way.

Great Portrait of a young Mr. Doucette if I'm not mistaken. fabu lighting dude. and the kid's WAY better looking than his papa. That's a pic for your wall - awesome. 9 P-ness

What an adorable baby....this must be Jacko's shot I'm guessing, they grow sooo quickly don't they? love the black and white and the white background, it gives such a feeling of youth and innocense. 10

Jacko? What a cute kid and a great photo! Love the choice of black and white... andd the white background is nice... I'm thinking maybe of having this cropped so that Samuel fills the frame leaving less white and more baby...

If I were this kid I would be so incredibly happy with this photo when I was a bit older. An excellent portrait, great pose, good lighting, good contrast, good b&w toning, nice background, good use of space, good angle. In my opinion the best photo of this challenge.

There's a pretty baby! Love the B&W treatment. The skin tone is perfect. The only recommendation is to modify lighting to get rid of head and ear shadws cast on neck and backdrop.

Well, I wonder who this little cutie is? ;-) Looks awesome in b/w. He is the cutest baby boy. I am glad to know that I will watch this little one grow up. Maybe our children will play together some day.
