I fully expect this to be rubbished. Let battle commence!

Post-challenge -

Well, it wasn't rubbished! In fact this came in as my new PB, with my first ever 6+ score.

I expected comments to say it was way over-done, etc.

My view? I like the warmth of it, I think that the bottom 2/3rds of this shot are great, considering what I started with. As was pointed out in the comments, there's a halo around the trees that I find distracting, but I tried to edit it and it just wasn't possible for me to remove it without the result looking artificial.

Here's the OOC shot

so you can see how unrealistic this actually is! I deliberately went for a ++ contrast ++ vivid end result. I think from the flat original I did alright!

There's a touch HDR unreality to the colors, but I think you reigned it in quite well and the overall effect is warm and stunning. Shows how observant I am, I'm so dazzled by the warm effect at the bottom half of the image that I didn't notice your sky/trees edge until reading your comment just now. :)

Pretty nice, looks like a lovely place to take a stroll. Halo around the tree tops not really to my taste but nothing that is seriously bothering me.

I like the vibrance, but mostly I like how the trees seem to be living things (well, they are, I know, but embodied living things) inviting you in.

Good colour. Very nice crispness in the rock wall and the trees in the front.
