 I had been watching for lightning for many months now and finally got a chance to capture some. This was my first attempt and I think the photos turned out great.

Woohoo a 93% shot! Thanks for the votes and the comments. In all actuality I was hoping for a high 5 with this shot and I am blown away by the final average.

I was not sure how this shot would go over due to being very dark. On my Samsung 204bw it looked great but on some monitors it looked almost totally black.

Maybe a little longer exposure to brighten the texture of the clouds a litte more... but I love these lightning shots

First impression is that it seems distant and insignicant(the photo as a whole that is). But the longer I look at this, the more the greater picture develops out of the darkness. Well done!

Excellent capture. I see some cloud to ground and cloud to cloud giong on here. I like how you included the power lines in the picture also.
