I took some shots of this bridge a couple of years ago on my old camera. With my new camera in hand, and the Night Shot challenge, I set out to recreate some of my old shots of this bridge. This is a different angle than I got last time, looking up the support wires.

The shot is pretty busy, but I think the composition is reasonably balanced. There's lots of horrible lens flare, but it's basic editing, so I'm stuck with all the nitty gritty. It's the last night, and I really want to put in more effort to enter some challenges, so here it is! I think the result works overall, and with luck, I'll get a slightly better score than last years entries.

Editing is pretty straightforward - straighten, levels, convert to sepia, NR, minor sharping.

Here's hoping for 5.5

(Here's a bit of trivia - people actually live in this bridge! There's two apartments in each end of the bridge. I think that's so cool.)

those leading lines are very cool, even if they don't lead anywhere in particular. I don't think the lense flare strengthens the image.

Great use of leading lines! I really like the composition, but think I would like the shot even more if it were in blue tones.
