 dpc wont like this ... and i'd bet a ferrari, if i had one, that this'll bomb real bad .. but i like it and so i'm putting it anyway .. i may get that long desired ribbon .. but the wrong colour !! ... BROWN!! ... different strokes for different folks eh?
was taken on train at night coming back from the easter show at sydney's olympic park ... its very very grainy coz i had iso at 1600 ... f5.6 is the biggest aperture i could get & 1/25th sec ... all coz of the low lighting ...
did levels to lighten image which increased the grainy look even more .. did something else that made the colours richer .. but dont remember wot ... might've been another levels ...
noise ninja .. sharpened, cropped and border ... saved for web ...

You're right that this is not very dpc-esque, however I think it's excellent and am glad it didn't bomb as you expected... though I feel it would have deserved a better score for the creativity and the artistic feel of the photo. Awesome work.

Yay! This most certainly did not bomb. Glad to see something outside of the glitzy city lights reflected in the river (good shots just the same) do well! I quite like the color and busy-ness of it.

I LIKE it!! I'm glad it didn't bomb like you feared, but I think it should have done better than 5.6. I's very artsy and cool!

Incredibly far from being a bomb...but also still very underrated! This is one of those photos, that those that liked it, really liked it. Its photos like this that you should be most proud. For what it's worth, this was one of my top picks.

Looks like you were wrong about bombing. Would have like to have seen this higher but still a respectable top 100 finish, 7.25 from the commenters too!!

reflection on the glass is captured well with the street shops and light... reminds me of a work by a famous photographer (I can't recall his name at the moment) .. really nice perspective of night!7
