 The London Eye on the South Bank, taken at dusk. A 45 second exposure just about blurs it to a continuous ring, provided it doesn't stop! You can see some light spots where the occupants indulged in some fruitless flash photography :).

Lightroom: RAW convert, rotate, crop, removed a few dust spots, adjusted tone curve
PSE5: USM to enhance contrast, resize, sharpen, SFW

This really belongs in the top three. The composition of the picture altogether is brilliant, especially with the houses of parliment standing behind in the depth of it.

Given the number of entries like this it wasn't the most original idea but you certainly pulled it off well and I agree with ominisppot in that I preferred this one over the the ribbon winner. The angle in particular gives it much more energy and motion than the other wheel shots, IMO.

Mr Dainmcgowan? Or are there other people out there also taking long exposures of the London Eye?

I like the purple colour. Nice sky too. I get the impression a bit more Neat Image would've helped, but I could be making that up.
