Neat. Nice homemade slingshot and fishing pole. 7.

I think I figured this out. There is a slingshot, a pocket knife, and a broken pocket watch. The stick on the top looks like some kind of home made fishing pole. I could be wrong, but that's my guess. This is a really nice photo of a "different" childhood than what is stereotyped. The angle and lighting are very nice. I like the placement of the object. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

I have no idea what some of that stuff is.

Maybe a nice close macro shot would have helped...the watch and knife are VERY interesting - and likely more so as you get the viewer closer...

nice shot. i like the way the foreground/background grades from painted to weathered clean. focus seems just a touch soft, though. (7) ~mcmurma

Nice collection, nice background, interesting story perhaps?
Composition doesn't grab me but I can't put my finger on why, sorry.

Very complimentary colors. They create a great mood of boyhood treasures and memories. =8 syamjonimi ;'-D

I'd rate it higher if it were easier to tell the slingshot and the other stick item (fishing gear?) apart. See What little girls are made of for an example that's similar to yours that I liked quite a bit better. I like your idea here though.

Looks like my style of toys! I think the background does not offer enough contrast to the subjects. The compass is interestingly broken, I would have liked it to have a more promemant position. 8 Swash

Boy, this brought back some forgotten memories. Frank Beckman 8, I just changed my vote to a 9, I really like this picture. It really touches my memory bank.

Good idea, but a little too busy and has a constructed feel to it.

This is a pleasant, subdued image yet it does not speak to me of childhood. Other than the knife, the objects I see displayed speak more to me of an older person. However, I may be dead wrong and besides I don't take points off for not meeting the bloody challenge. I said the image is subdued and yet I would have liked to see some more contrast, perhaps in the shape and color of the sticks (or whatever they are), and the color of the background and most of the objects. It lacks that Ooompf element. My comment very much reflects my own taste. 6 Journey
