Great idea! I love the angle and the set up is really nice. Lighting is perfect and so is the focus. Definately depicts childhood. Great shot and good luck in the challenge.

Maybe more effective if shot from below somehow. This gives me the feeling of being an adult looking down at a kid's world...maybe making me feel like a kid would elicit more emotion?

Without the title, this is a stretch. Not enough contrast in the items around the sink. 3 Jak

ok composition but title could be a lot better. A title like "bedtime" might be better.

The angle at which it was taken feels a little forced.

A child's eye view (from a lower angle) might have been more effective here.

This is a classic. It has everything the challenge demands – but it also has that little something that sets it apart. It's one of those pictures that tells a story and makes you smile – even Teddy gets discarded when play time is being wasted :) I really love the composition and lighting and I could find faults perhaps, but I'd rather just enjoy the shot as you intended. I can't believe I used to we the tooth brush and say I had brushed my teeth. Or maybe I can with all the work that I have had on my teeth...

Original picture, not toys but a refreshing picture. Like the detail of the teddybear on the floor!

The idea grabs me more than the photo - I have memories of my sister and I going through a phase of only pretending to brush our teeth - we'd wet the toothbrushes and smear paste in our mouths... lord knows why we didn't just brush them - it would have been less bother! Luckily my teeth survived that little phase and are still in good state!
On a visual level this photo isn't grabbing me. Firstly I think the fact that the top of the marble unit and the tap need to be included. Secondly I am wondering if this would be more interesting taken from down low, the child's perspective. I like the teddy disgarded on the floor.

maybe from a child's view

This picture would probably have been more effective if taken from a lower, kid-height perspective.

this photo certainly made me smile, it definately tells a story

A different angle (child's height) would really have helped you here.
