I really liked this in the challenge, such and interesting use of lights and shutterspeed. An easy fix for night shots in the city if your not using raw is to set the white balance to the one that looks like a lightbulb. Tungsten I think. It will make the colors more natural. :)

That area must get pretty icey in January.

Actually gave this an 8, as the subject was close enough to the camera for the existing lights to be used for MLS,believing a reflector was being used to highlight the subjects left side so well, no complaints here, those images that were taken from over 200yds away stretch the imagination.

I love the water on the left and the boy's posture on the right. Good capture and nice processing, too.

all the light in the original was bright red - it was horrible - there was only 3% red in the channel mix when i destaurated it

definitely gets me thinking - is this kid in awe of these events? or does he wish he had his gameboy? - where does this wave come from ?
-the view from teh lens is perfect here and I love the way the waves are highlighted. I'm thinking greyscale was a nice choice but curious how the color was.

I'm impressed with the black and white and the lumination coming through the spray of water. I might have asked the second guy beside the trash can to step out. The shot is a little cluttered.
