 Thought of the Salvador Dali clock. I took a photo of our old reliable Seth Thomas, and then distorted it using Roxio Photo Suite. Thin I cut it out and held it against a black backdrop.

Dodge
Burn
Duplicate layer; multiply mode
Save for web

This was one of my favorites of the challenge - it's Dali with a twist! You did a great job of making it look naturally distorted instead of a cutout.

This is really wonderful Judy...it is a superb, creative idea...I reckon you need a new DSLR as the Pro1 let you down with detail in this lighting...excellent

I suggest you get rid of all traces of the background arm (I realize that would have been dangerous in advanced editing rules). I am thrilled to hear that you created that distorted clock yourself. That makes this image completely yours.

I really like the liquid effect used on the clock. It is beautifully composed and has nice coloring to it too.

Wish I had been able to see more of the hand in the background; as is, it seems like the hand is wiping something. But overall good photo!
