Handful of Dead Roses, or Hand (with) Dead Roses

My husband is holding the roses he gave me for Valentine's Day, now quickly dying. A t-shirt is laid over the back of a chair for the background. Natural light is coming in through the window behind the camera.

Shot in RAW: adjusted white balance; saved as 16-bit tif. Tone-mapped in Photomatix Pro.

PS:
layer- before tone mapping: selective color to darken the blacks; curves for the hand; brightness/contrast; burn on the top right corner
layer- after tone mapping: masked off all but the roses, stems, and leaves

Half dead roses? :) You shuld have had six, then it would have also been half a dozen roses. Great lighting.

Holding Dried Roses? High Density Red? Can't really be High Dynamic Range... No vote.
