 A couple of days' worth of waves splashing WAY up during a storm left the walkway pillars and chains extremely thickly iced.

beautiful shot. if i might be so forward, i'd suggest revisting the processing...the burning in the clouds seems a bit muddy (at least on my crappy monitor), and that may be what kept you from ribboning :(

I'll tiptoe meekly out so Option doesn't have to stand alone. It's beautiful, but to me, it doesn't look like a photograph. It looks more like a painting. Too overprocessed for my tastes too. I'd like to see the original. I feel like sometimes Photoshop is cheating because it allows you to "paint" over the original photograph. Just my 2 cents. But congrats on your high placement. :::goes to stand in the corner with Option:::

Love this photo. One of my favourites now. So much detail to explore, foreground, midground and sky. love the ornge tinged ice which provides such wonderful color cast to the sky and water. Congrats.

the processing doesnt work for me, otherwise, this is a good photo, its just too...hyperrealistic for my tastes.

OH WOW. This looks like an ivory shot. Gorgeous tonal range and I like the sun's rays coming down, yet now overpowering the image. What a glorious blue tone. Lovely set up. Bravo. 9
