I'm perusing and critiquing archive DPC street photography challenges to learn more about composition. Please email me respond to my comment if you like.
Wonderful catch... it evokes another era. Love the monochrome and the textures. .. I see the lonely bicycle as the subject, not the street.
Square format is not my favorite so i wonder how it would look in a landscape mode. |

| Congrats on third place. Good composition. But I think you went a touch overboard on the tonemapping. The differing softened tones on the window, the sign and far wall are the typical tell tale signs for that. |

Thanks to everyone for their coments and support.. I tried to get this shot into decent print but its not coming up to my expectations so I wont be submitting it for print.
If anyone REALLY wants a print, PM me with your email and I'll be happy to send you one over for free but be warned it is NOT 100% perfect. |

| Absolutely stunning. I have only now begun viewing the images on this challenge but would not be the least bit surprised if I saw this on the first page. The leading lines, the presence of the bicycle at the forefront, the rustic look, the composition and DOF all combined to make this a truly remarkable image. Good luck. |

Nice job framing what looks to be a mannequin in the window.
This point of view and overall composition is very good, as are the tones you used in the post-processing. I'm not sure the extent of the pp was in best interests and hope your score isn't getting hit because of it.
I'd really like to see this processed in a more conventional manner, as it really is a very good shot. |

| This is def a top 5!! Just incredible view, the angle is incredible, the sharpness and clarity are out of this world. This picture seperates you from all the competition IMO.
