Took two box tops that I have covered with white paper. Couple of holes near the top of the long side of the one on the right. Placed an eyedropper throught the whole and filled it with water. Form a drop a the tip of the dropper with a couple of gentle squeezes. Flower placed in a bottle behind the drop and lit with 4 clamp lamps, 2 with 100w halogen bulbs pointed to the flower and two with 120w flood lights pointed to a piece of white foam boarded over the shooting area. Camera on tripod and used the wireless remote (because some big dummy left the manual remote at work...doh!) This is from a set I did tonight. Shot last night as well....same set up.

Post: Convert from raw in PSElements 3.0. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. NeatImage. Sharpen. Crop (this is a full crop....cropped only for 1.25:1 aspect ratio). Healed two small dust spots. Resize. Sharpen

Remember Liberty and Justice photo - reminds me of that concept - water droplets and such. Very cool effect though!

Congrats on the top 10, Robert. Another cool water refraction shot for you. It's a tribute to your long history of great shots that this doesn't even make your high-scores row in your profile!

interesting shot, and impressive for basic editing. the faucet moving up and out of the frame doesn't work for me compositionally, and I wish the sunflower in the water droplet was more in focus or less distorted to make it more of a contrast with the blurred background. - 6

I like how you've blended nature with lab work. The colours really work and the sunflower in the water drop is magical. Maybe the sunflower is a little too blurred. Great job!

Good colors. I have never tried a hsot like this before so I dont know how hard it is. But with other similar pics on this site that are near perfect you really need to nail it here. The flower in the drop seems a bit too blurry, but the colors are very nice.
