 I love doing food images and I love the work of Donna Hay. I thought I would combine these ingredients for a fresh summer salad and present them in a real Donna Hay way.

I have done similar images, but I am really happy with these.

EDIT: USM, Noise Ninja, resize, blur and sharpen, some curves adjustments, noise ninja again, resize for web and border. That\'s it really.

POST: I guess 6.2733 is not so bad in a really tough competition...there were some great entries.

In the end the salad had to go in the bin as I was fasting that day. Our church is on 40Days of prayer and fasting and so it was NO FOOD for me...

I just realized that this only placed 31. WTF? When it comes to food I have put DPC on "auto turn-off". They just don't know...

First off let me say that if you ever needed to change career fields you woul dhave one in food photography. You have the eye for sure. Next let me say that I am totally stunned that my image scored higher than yours. That shouldnt have happened. Not by a long shot. Very nice work Enzo. Very nice work.

Wow, I never thought to put figs in a salad. I think I prefer them in newtons, though. Very nice DOP and colours!
