A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess ISBN: 0393312836.

When this competition came up, I immediately thought of four book titles to try. I ended up taking pictures for three of them (I only left out “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”). My personal favorite was the picture for “Dead of Winter ISBN1592866808 (a book by my brother-in-law, Jay Squires). But everyone I showed the choices to selected this one, so I will bow to popular choice.

Very inventive and holds well to theme. Seems to have a deep orange/yellow hue on everything though, I would prefer to have the good crisp chrome reflections and color definition as well as a bit more depth-of-field.

Good idea. I like the texture on the black backing, although it could have been brought out more. Just one point, and this is purely subjective, as the book is a bit grim, if I remember rightly, wouldn't clock hands which don't look like a smile be more appropriate, or is the smile a part of your meaning? 8

I wish the orange looked a little more orange in color. Very creative idea and composition.

Nicely done. I wanted to do this one but couldn't work out quite how to so did something else. I like it and would not have got this anywhere near as good had I continued with it.

I like how it looks like the clock just popped out as you were peeling the orange, nice job. This one will do well!

i think i would have liked this better on a completely black backround, with no discernable surface. cool concept. i like that you kept the knife in the image to suggest the hint of violence.
