 I used a blue/gold Cokin filter and and graduated neutral density filter. You can't use the polarizer and ND on the same mount because the polarizer twists, so I held the other filter in front.
PP, Luko unsharp mask technique, selective color, slightly desaturate the magenta out of the rock, contrast masking, light NI, gradient map on luminosity, faded to 4% and curve Burned the higlights in the water and played with levels to brighten the sky, then ran NI stronger and masked out its effects on various parts of the image like rocks and out in the middle of the bay and horizon.

Here is my second choice, same shot but with a twist of the polarizer.

Joe, Fantastic beach shots in your portfolio. I guess I hadn't seen them all. You won't be offended if i purchase a blue/gold polarizer?? ;)

good news is - now you got me interested in coloured filters!
bad news is - my camera no longer accepts filters!

with anymore of these great beach shots, you're gonna be hailed king of beaches soon! i'm gonna go tell bear_music about this, lol (that's a compliment, btw!)
