A natural sepia photo - one of the only non PP photos I've ever uploaded here. Also one of the first photos I've taken with my new sigma 50-150 2.8 lens.
I wish that I had managed to get all of the dads shadow in the frame.

There is a really interesting dynamic between the boy and the older man. I love there there is only one fishing pole, making the boy balance out perfectly. The whole shaddow not being in the frame doesn't really bother mer.

I agree Tim, it would have been a very special shot if all the dad's shadow was in the frame, but it's still a very good shot. The water is a bit to bright IMO, maybe it could be touched up with a bit of burning, but aprt from that , great shot.

Tim this is great! I know what you mean about wishing to get the whole shadow in the photo, but I wouldn't dwell on it too much, you have caught a great father son moment. I also like the tacklebox. As for technicals,(these are serious nitpicks, take them as mere suggestions). I like how you have such a shallow DoF with a shot into the sun, you must of had a really fast shutterspeed. Maybe if you were shooting this again, shoot from a lower angle to give more of feeling from the son's perspective. This has a "fishing with son" feel to it more than "Fishing with Dad" :). I would like to say the composition isn't perfect with the son centered, but the more I look I like, it gives a more candid, caught the moment feel rather than a set up shot. I like it. BTW, I have been skipped to in that thread ;P
