 Gates of the defunct Stuyvesant-Rutherford Estate. The green ghost in the center is lens flare...I think....

On processing: The original shot is actually in pretty decent focus. Some of that was lost to the attempt for mood. The bleary look is due to noise reduction (used Kodak Digital Gem in this case) and color saturation (channel mixing and color balance, mainly). I'm glad some people found the end result spooky and/or appealing. Thank you for the comments :)

This was one of my favorites. I love those rich brown tones. It gives it a haunting beauty!

colors are a bit overpowering. Maybe it would have been stronger message in B/W

This is interesting and odd at the same time. I like the way you've put this together, it's engaging. The odd part is the colors look blurred in the area past the gate, like it's blurred motion of leaves blowing in a breeze combined with a long exposure? Hmmm...hope you have comments on this to read after the challenge is finished. Curious minds want to know. :D Good luck in the challenge.

The best part of the image is the fact that there are many different types of the same color used (orange).Also, all the shades of orange are somewhat dark. This creates a dark and mysterious mood.
