 Taken near the Mere in Hornsea, East Yorkshire. I know I could have increased the shutter speed, which I did on a couple of other shots, but I wanted to capture the movement of the wings to show the 'frenzied' way in which the birds were feeding,landing and taking off.The light was poor that day also and made the shot a little grainy, so that's also why I choose to enhance the grey tones.

This is wonderful. Normally, I'd be tempted to suggest something like this be done in black and white, but the color (selectively seen by the nature of the image) gives this another dimension and a whole different dynamic.

The title is perfect - it is a photo of Frenzy! I like the composition of the grey and black in the background making a nice canvas for all the movement.
