**************

No doubt doomed to DNMC, too far out of the box, but I had to do it :-) Someone will probably note the resemblance of this to my "self portrait as raindrop" entry of 2004, even more OOTB. But I stand firmly here and say, this is MEETING THE CHALLENGE; "father time" and "mother nature" are common references, and they DO battle with each other all year, every year. The image depicts time hammering nature (dead of winter and all) but nature will come back and win in turn, come spring :-)

Pretty picture, great muted colors, but if it were not for the spoon fed title, it would not jump out as battle of the sexes.

well it seems to be a stretch to meet this challenge. If not for the title -- well gl

very interesting effort - like the use of language to carry this image. nice composition on the photo - love the use of bokeh to supplement the image.

OK image - but the only connection to the challenge is in your title, not in your picture.

Great DOF, nice composure. Poor choice of subject that is really not that interesting in lighting or coloration. Not an image that I am drawn to.

Uhhh... that's a little bit deep for me. Or at least a bit of a stretch for the challenge.
