A wunderbar photo: main figure well positioned against idyllic scene and the dog at peak of stance, the boy adding context. Great treatment of light and dark. An 8 at the very least, but more from people like me.

A terrific "real world" type of photo. I like the B&W treament here. The exposure is spot on. I like the multitude of lines you have managed to create here. I might have preferred the child on the bottom to be fully in the frame, but I love his pose. A very special type of photo.

he looks exactly like my father! we would sit in a boat on a river with our dear kitty, mama and my sister and sing some songs while papa was fishing. my kitty is gone forever, my parents are 7000 km from me.
omg, I'm almost crying
oh no, I am.

Oh, Christian, I know EXACTLY how you feel. My wife's family has a place in Vermont that her great-grandfather built almost 100 years ago. We go up there every summer; in fact, she goes for 3 weeks with the girls.

As a photo, this is just singing with suppressed energy: the cocked arm ready to cast, the dog ready to jump, and the clouds ready to unload. Very nice!

Might have been a stronger image if you'd got the whole rod in - could have added more to the sense of impending motion in the shot.

seems a little dark to me. and losing the bottom half of this childs body really takes away from the overall composition of this photo.

Too dark and kinda busy were the people are leaving the lake and landscape un noticed.

I wish this was a landscape shot so I could see more of what looks like a great composition.

Fantastic shot in black and white. I like the dog's excitement, looks like it is about ready to chase the cast right into the water. The vertical composition brings in the interesting sky and child, but the fishing pole and gaze of the man feel awkwardly unbalanced within the frame.

There is a lot of action in this which has drawn my attention. Technically, I don't parts of the exposure, but my points are given with the attention on the fisherman, dog, and boy. All three are part of the action which I like.

Awesome tomes. My only critism is the child at the bottom of the picture. It is distracting.

the cut on the fishing rod and the boy on the lower side aren't beatiful....

Nice stop action. I like the tones. I wish the boy in the foreground weren't quite so chopped off.
