Good timing on such a dynamic scene.
I would be willing to bet that it changed drastically every minute, and soon was gone (the reds).
Well seen, and so full of life!

This looks like something that would be killer printed large so that all the detail was visible. It's not at all bad at 720px but I'm dying to zoom in and take a proper look around!
A beautiful scene which must hold a wonderful memory for you.

What a sweeping view! The herd in the foreground works nicely - bringing the eyes of the viewer from the details to the towering mountains. The red light feels very extreem - perhaps that is just how it was - but eberything else is so pastel and dim compared to the vivid reds and oranges, it is jarring. Boosting the blue in the sky, or at least the darkness in the clouds might add balance.

Best: All that damn fauna! And of course the grandeur..sure looks like Colorado to me...
Worst: I wanna give benefit of doubt, but the scorching red just feels a bit fake and weird compared to rest of scene and exposure..
