I've been looking at this photo on the front page since the 'winners' were announced but just clicked on it today. For the life of me, I don't understand why it did not win the blue - it is a totally superior photo and draws much more emotion. Congrats on the red but it's blue to me.

Absolutely gorgeous! You have captured such a beautifully intimate and gentle moment.
It does look rather like a painting, 'though - I am unsure if that is because it is a photo of a painting (I would be inordinately disappointed), because you used an 'art' type filter in PS, or (as I am hoping) because of some trick of the light - I very much look forward to reading your decription after voting ends. |

| Very sweet image! The expressions on both of the monkeys faces is awsome. I can just feel the love between them the way the baby is looking at his mom with that sweet little hand on her mouth and the way the mom's head is bent down towards her baby with her eyes closed.I LOVE it!!! Subject mater, composition, lighting, wow factor are all perfect. Great capture! |
