Edit to say: Thanks to Peter for the comment. I totally agree with the lower perspective and was very sad that I couldn't get down to the rocks. Sadly, this was taken last year and due to my broken leg I had to go and stand on a bridge across the water rather than where I would have liked to be...and I am pretty sure this is one of those once in a lifetime moments, so seeing this scene again is highly unlikely :o(

The rich deep deep blue of the water offset by the snow is so very striking! Lovely, peaceful, and very calming to me.

Love the leading lines in this one. The scene is nice, but I think there might be a bit too much the the one end of the color spectrum. Maybe a black and white would pull it all together...

This is a calander shot IMO..... I actually like the composition, as it does seem to work in the rul of thirds re the horizontal perspective. Love the colors and the wintery landscape.

I really like this picture because of the perspective...it gives a great angle and great depth...the colors are simple yet powerful/impacting....nice winter scene!

The contrast is very nice on this image. You did well to avoid getting the snow too blown out. One area that could be improved is the tree line on the left- if you did this in raw - you might consider some tonemapping or HDR to bring out some of the detail of the trees. Another thing that may have really make these jump would be a slightly lower perspective - getting closer to the cool snow covered rocks in the foreground.
