 This is my most favorite photograph that I have taken to date. I still can't believe that I captured it. The strange part is, that the colors and contrast and levels are almost straight from the camera. (I had it set to "more vivid") I only used a little bit of brightness/contrast and some healing brush to remove some unsightly flaws on the petals of the flowers and a small white spot on the spider that was distracting.

I took me quite a few shots to get one I was happy with, and I wanted to come back and take more, but the spider moved into the center of the flower and was looking away.

That has to be the most handsome spider I've ever seen - from the "eyelashes" to the "smile" it is a great capture - oh, and the flower looks nice, too, of course... ;-)

Best: Guardian indeed. A scary little guy. love the story told
