Pretty straight forward shot. Nothing elaborate just a syringe in one hand and a remote shutter in the other. Lighting consists of a worklight to the left and slightly behind the subject and a flash off camera to the right. The flash was set to high speed sync FP mode, which allows for really fast shutter speeds much faster than the camera's normal sync speed which is 1/250. Having that speed available greatly reduced the margin of error.

Thanks for the kind comments and votes. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure there are just two drops visible. That "third" one is a reflection. I guess I should have removed it.

Btw, the title is named after the astrophysics term involving black holes. It is said that anything pulled into a black hole gets stretched and compressed to the point where only atoms can squeeze through.

It was overkill. I was pretty much just experimenting shooting in burst mode.

But would you have to list this image as a nude??? Because this appears to be a "naked" singularity. Nature normally obscures a singularity. She is shy. heheheheheheh

Very nice image. I like the contrast in colors between the drops and the liquid. Congrats on the top ten.

Don't you love it when you try something and it turns out perfectly -- and especially since you say you didn't have to put much effort in it. This is amazing!!Congratulations on a front page finish!

Great colors and nice capture of the drops. Though not sure how "centered" the image components are...

Beautiful stop motion shot. You'll have to tell us what is droping and onto what.....could it be oil onto milk in a purple container? (9)

I need to practice few shots like this! Its awesome! Just to give my opnion about the shot, maybe the yellow drop that didnt hit the center is taking out the attention.
