Smoke from the near by fires made this an interesting sunrise. I just gave it a little boost of saturation.

Love the hint of blue in the foreground. Nice that you've extracted such a gem from the vapours of disaster. . .

DEAR HEAVENS, GRINGO!
I have been trying for MONTHS to get a shot like this one! ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING! If you haven't already, you should make some prints of this available...Folks here in AZ would eat this up!

This is a fabulous shot, and your addition of saturation has made it extremely attractive. It is a pity that the catasprophe of the fires took place, but even in adversity there is sometimes beauty to behold. I love the receding rows of hilltops - your angle on them was perfect! A very well-deserved ribbon!

Thank you everyone SO much. I almost didn't enter this shot, I am really glad I did now. I didn't think it was interesting enough and I felt I had over saturated it beyond what would be acceptable here. I am ecstatic this did as well as it did, I would have never guessed it.

Thank you!

Looks like the Smoky Mountains from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I guess you guys have your own smoky mountains this time of year though. Lovely, warm colors. Great landscape crop. I'm too lazy to get up to the top of a mtn that early in the morning ;P

too bad Gringo - 7.5+ almost always gets a win...lots of great shots in this one. Nice processing job - wouldn't mind seeing the original for comparison.
