I assume you know this already but just in case... The shot suffers from motion blur, would have vastly improved it if you had used a tripod. I like the christmas lights around the firework though so just use a tripod next time and your all set.

A tripod or some sort of stable surface to set the camera on could have helped this photo a lot. You have motion blur in the picture and it is not from the movement of the fireworks.

Great picture! I love it...is different than everything else....nice composition...just a little blurry but gives a great feeling of smoothness.... love it! Great job!

A little movement there has a bad affect on the outcome and almost ruins it for my taste. Using the self timer on the camera (or a shutter release cable) and putting it on a tripod or stable surface will help you get sharper images without movements of the still motives. Happy new year and better luck next time. 2 from me.
