 I came across this ancient ritual of 8 maids a-milking while hiking through an old orchard.

Thanks to all the voters who commented and reviewed this. Some of you guessed the location as Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC. I was lucky for this challenge because each year the gardens put up a display of each of the 12 verses in their fields, gardens, ponds and orchard. I had done some B&W shots earlier in the month so had to go back to take these to meet the challenge requirements. I tried to evoke a little of the eerie qualities that I put in the B&Ws. This was my second entry and I'm looking forward to improving my pp skills.

Ok, I was there too... at Butchart and it is so amazing!! Lovely photo, it must be daytime, I tried night shots and they just bombed.

you lucky thing - a custom made answer to a DPC challenge! Bit of a shame your horizon is crooked and you chopped one of them off at the edge :-(
