Hey there from the Critique Club

Camera Work/Technical: Everyone always talks about the WOW factor here, and this image is packed full of it. Your crisp focus is spot-on, your tones are truly remarkable and the textures you captured just top it all off. This should have been up there with the best of this challenge.

Lighting: Your lighting is near flawless in this capture. The only area that I think is lacking is the upper right hand corner. It is just a bit too dark and competes mildly for the eye's attention.

Composition/Content: In a word, wonderful. Her flowing shape and the tastefully hidden details (face and nipples) keep the eye moving around the frame and peering deeper for more. It really disappoints and disheartens me that voters are so skewed that they vote based on the bare human body. Aside from the upper right hand corner, this is a near flawless image. Its being added to my favorites as soon as I submit your critique. You did an amazing job with the tight crop to produce a feeling of tension and searching even without reading the title.

My Opinion: Without a doubt, this one got hit with low marks simply based on nudity. This is, without a doubt, one of the best 5 or 6 images in the challenge. You were far underrated. Excellent work, and I can't wait to see more!

Stunning composition and pose. The wings don't quite convince me but that apart the textures and form are absolutely breathtaking. In part it reminds me of Blake's 'Newton' - just because of the rocks and the feeling that the character is rooted to and constrained by them.

You certainly have a way of putting a new perspective on the song. Excellent job.

love the texture of the dirt on the feet - not sure on the pose - that's not what the song communicates to me but that won't affect my vote - flying is less about the fetal position to me. The hair blending so readily into the background is unfortunate to me 7

Nice, but I really would have liked this better if I had a face that I could connect to, I don´t really relate to this shot the way it´s presented but nice like I said, 6 from me.

The lighting is great, the DOF is perfect...I'm trying to figure out why this doesn't quite work for me. I think it is because my eye is having trouble finding a place to settle, maybe because the hair blends just a bit too seamlessly with the background, maybe because of composition. 6.

I like this idea a lot. Too bad we lost nearly all of the detail of her hair, though, due to the high contrast/darkness at the top. I also don't love the surface you picked for the photo. Something in a totally different color palate from her skin would have been better, imo.

I like the artsy thing here. Very dark and depressing - I think that's pretty much how Floyd is. 7
