Thanks to Easton, Valerie, Franzie and Adam for jumping a million times for me!

Edited colors with channel mixer, USM, crop, neatimage

In response to the comments... I noticed the tilted horizon but didn't find it that bothersome so I decided to leave it.

As far as the Librodo comments. He is not the first nor the last to do a jumping shot. It is a classic shot that has been done a lot of times. Everyone on this site shares ideas anyhow so I don't see why there was such a big deal made of mine. In addition if there was some influence it was subliminal rather than intentional.

Also there is nothing spelled. This was not directed really. They all jumped straigh up the first time and I said "Do something different, use your limbs" and this is what came of it.

Love the dynamic silhouettes and their shadows. Great things going on in the background too.

I just saw this. CONGRATULATIONS! You desrve the ribbon. And you're right about the "jumping in the beach" note. We never know who the original is. But what we are sure is that this picture is a very good one. Congratulations again.:)

Yeah, no kidding! What's up with people voting for images that have no connection to the challenge? There were a lot of great images in this challenge that depicted life, but lacked any semblance of celebration. Images that I would have given a 10 to, I gave a 5 to for not meeting the challenge. And, believe me, I looked hard and gave the benefit of the doubt wherever even a hint or metaphor of a celbratory aspect could be found.

Congrats! I'm glad to see you ribbon. Even if that guy hadn't cheated, your pic was more deserving because his picture did not meet the challenge. There was no celebrational aspect to it. Whereas yours is dripping with celebration. Good job!

excellent! The only thing that bugs me is the farthest guy to the right, it looks like he's hanging, kinda creepy and unnatural...

Completely understood. After I entered and it was brought to my attention it was a real "Doh!" moment because I had a different shot I could have used. Any influence was completely subliminal. Actually I has seen this shot of Adam's dad's band from the 70s of them jumping and we were at the beach and I thought, why not? LOL... so the 70s were long before Librodo's.

This is really nice...I think I would have voted 10 instead of 9 if the horizon was level and the jumpers were a little more centered. That may not have been possible because of the bright sun however. Great photo.

Love it! This truly fulfills the challenge of capturing an image that CELEBRATES life. There were some incredible images in this challenge that I would normally give a 10 to, but which lacked the celebrational aspect. Yours nailed it. I hope you ribbon. I'm giving you one of only three 10s I'm giving this time.

Great concept, nice capture, water on left looks great, good shadows. This can be a very, very good image.

Imporvements: As I'm sure has been mentioned numerous times, you need to level the horizon. The water reflection on the right is overexposed and you want to do color processing to bring out dramatic color in the sky or convert image to standard black and white.

very much like librodo's recent ribbon-winner shot.

This is great - best of the "rows-of-people-jumping-on-the-beach" shots. My favorite is the guy on the right who looks like he's levitating. Back to bump you to 9.

Love the movement that's perfectly stopped for that split second. Great silhouettes. The horizon seems slightly tilted down to the right.

Great capture. Horizon is a tad tilted but that doesnt overwhelm the image. Perfect timing to get 4 different clean poses mid air. Fun shot. Bumping up to 8.

There are two photos very similar to this one, and both are really good..... My only problem with this one, is that the horizon is slightly down on the right hand side, to the left side, which is disappointing, as I really like the image.....
