Krystal again...

One of those few shots that I finally succeeded to convince Krystal to wrap her face with a veil.

I think that the pendant on the forehead being out of focus is a bit distracting. That probably cost some points in the voting.

From Critique Club,
Hi,
This is a fantastic picture with a combination of multitude of features. Firstly, the thick dark eyebrows and the high contrast eyes captures the focus and draws the eye in other parts of the face which then reveals a hidden smile. Secondly, the circular pathway of lighted cloth around the face also helps focus the attention on face and keeps from going off. Thirdly, this image works inspite of the eyes being at middle as there is an assymetry created by the veil. Side lighting has also helped the cause (most probably along with a reflector on the other side). Colors are obviously interesting as the near neutral skin color strongly constrasts the rich golden and blue hues. Some people have criticised the reflection in eyes but in my opinion this is fine as it somehow is harmonious with the assymetric reflections from the pendant. The focus on the pendant and the chain I beleive is the only point of concern which other people have pointed out.
Compositionally and technically this would have been one of the best portraits I have seen only if the pendant would have been in focus.
Cheers,
Kausik

Great color, sharpness, simplicity, and nice tight composition. A very good shot.

The meallion is a touch OOF, but the rest is tack sharp, with rich colors. i don't know if this is a studio shot but the multi light reflections in her eyes is distracting, if you didn't light this then you found lovely light.

Nicely done picture. I didn't quite buy the jewelery on her forehead, it seems out of place. Perhaps I'm a little jaded from seeing too many of these "eyes" pictures? Well done anyway and good luck!

I like how the eyes match the medallion. 6

Very enchanting portrait, her eyes look like jewels. The color tones are very rich, but the soft focus on the medallion is a little disconcerting.

I think the colors and sharpness are great. I would have increased the depth a bit to get the pendant in focus since I think it is central to the photograph. Still a highly rated shot.

Focus on the headpiece (?) is a bit off, and the lights reflecting off of it are distracting. But great eyes and catchlights there! Still a wonderful shot! :)
