I shot this on my birthday.Yes realy, I had nothing better to do.

OK I have a confession to make. I have won 4 of my 6 ribbons with Kinderdijk windmills, but I never went there before DPC and got inspired by a photo of Willem here at DPC
That was what got me to go to Kinderdijk the 1st time, and gave me a chance to win...
Willem Bedankt!

Nope, this one is one more to the right. Your windmill is my "Stary night"
Hmmm, scratching head, not a good sign that I allready know where all these windmills are, and recognise them...

Great result. Those European windmills always kick butt in the challenges. This ranks right up there with the best of them.

Very well done. Hard to tell it is HDR, that's the way I like it. This is my pick for one of the top 3.

Lovely scene, colors, windmill, sky, boat, water, etc. Might be better without the foreground screen of grases. Are the specks in the sky birds? Consider cloning out the wires. Love it.

The lighting of the windmill against the sky is awesome. Very nice.

Beautiful Image! The range really makes this pop. I think the crop is a little tight on the left. Love it anyway, bumped to a 9.

Very nice composition on this. Too bad the electrical lines were behind this one. The colors are not too extreme (a good thing) and the use of HDR to bring out the clouds while allowing good detail in the picture is well done.

great photo without the birds it would have been even better

Beautiful shot, nice sky, great colors. The birds look like dust specks though. 10

I love all the little details; the blue boat, the bridge, the birds. They really make the image.

Are those birds? If so they draw me away from that beautiful windmill which is done extremely well in HDR, Im no expert but there aint many in the challenge that look this good. Good luck in the challenge. 8

Ohmy! This would be a stunning photo on any account -- but the crisp tiny flock of birds really points out what an excellent HDR photo this is displaying such detail in the dark areas vs. the beautiful range of lights and color. This is flawless! 10

There are a couple of things in this photo that bother me, however I can see this at least with a top 5. Maybe even a ribbon. I'm sure thats a flock of birds or something in the sky. But they are really distracting. This is still a 8 from me. But likely would have been a 10 without the distractions in the sky.
