Challenge: Self Portrait V (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro
Lens: Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX Aspherical DF for Nikon
Location: Goodrich, MI
Date: Nov 4, 2006
Aperture: f4
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/125
Galleries: Portraiture
Date Uploaded: Nov 4, 2006

Lighting was one hair light, one light at 45 on each side.
The plan was to take a sp of me in a strapless dress, when the cat jumped in my lap, i took the advantage of lettign her stat in the shot.
This is almost straight from the camera with adjustments for highlight and shadow. Cropped to above the dress as my bra showed.
Focus was done by setting a strobe in the seat and then trying to stay in the same plane.

for some reason this photo makes me think of a quote from "Soapdish":

kevin kline: "you have very lovely eyes."

teri hatcher: "mmhmm, but they're nothing compared to my tits."

:)

ps -- great eyes. :)

Honestly this was my favorite shot of the whole bunch. I had no idea this was you. You are beautiful and I love that you weren't afraid to show yourself to us all as you did! So many people (including myself) expect to see beauty that comes from a front page magazine, but how many of us out there look like that? Beauty comes from the eye of the beholder and to me you are beautiful!

Very nicely done. I really like the black back background and the expression on your face is purr fect. Everything is so sharp and in-focus. 8

I can't help but wonder why you're naked with your cat. The photo looks forced. (Unless you're a nudist, heh)

The cat is purring so loud it almost makes the picture blurry! Gorgeous!

I honestly think that older women should be covered up a bit more... the skintone is very blotchy

Very nice light and great job on the focus! I like that you included the cat - makes it very personal in my opinion. Very lovely portrait of both of you!

i would have put my eyes on the line of the upper third. that way all the eyes could be on the 1/3rds. Nice pic

Reminds me of my mother and her cat. I wish you and the cat were looking in the same direction it would add to the sense of togetherness.
