Shot RAW. Converted to B/W in PSCS2 Raw conversion utility.

IN PS:

Cropped;

Cloned out a couple dust spots;

Added 2 50% grey layers blended in soft-light, and worked with the dodge tool in one, burn in the other, to get the picture to look like I wanted;

Tinted very slightly using selective colour;

Resized, sharpened, added black outline border, saved for web.

So many options with advanced editing. I would have cloned the white spot on his right shoulder out. It's probably a reflection off the zipper (?). I'm not sure what the title has to do with the photo - I would think it's a kind of color that could have been incorperated into the photo. The crop is nice.

I wonder if colorizing the guitar would have added a stronger connection to the title, since there is a "little Red" in many wood grains. (I'm guessing that "Rosita" is the title of the piece being played.) At any rate, Great composition & Great photo! :)

Great shot. Merely a suggestion, but after the challenge, you may want to clone out the tiny reflective dot on the man's collar. It' probably the zipper top, but it makes it look like there is dust on the lens or some foreign object on the glass. Very nice b/w shot and composition. 8.

one of my favourites in terms of composition and subject...I am just wishing the focus on the face was a bit crisper.
