I've seen so many luscious horse chestnuts this year that I just had to shoot one. I love the colours and they are so plentiful, but by the time the challenge came around there were very few with a shell still on. In fact, I found only two!

I've also noticed that this year there were many more with 2, 3 and 4 conkers inside and I thought this one looked particularly like a lovely pair of cheeks (you know the kind I mean)!

I nearly shot myself when I read the first comment about the blade of grass though! It's bugged me ever since...

Clever imagery via the title. The chestnuts are richly colored and well lit.

I thought I could recognize any sort of fruits or nuts, but this one has me baffled! What is it? You've captured the textures well, and picked your background to enhance the main subject.

LOL! I saw the title come up before the image and was expecting to see some scantily clad temptress. AWESOME idea and EXCELLENT play on words. One of my favourites for this challenge.

Very nicely seen and taken macro shot. Only criticism would be that the bright highlight is too blown.

As for exposed certainly meets the remit.

I like this. Horse chestnuts? I love the wood grain look of the nuts. Nice DoF. The glare and the washed out blade of grass in the foreground are a bit distracting.

Excellent representation of "concealed now exposed". I have no idea what this is (some sort of seed?) but the lighting is good and it fits the challenge well. 10 from me.

!!!! This is one of the best images I have seen on this site.
Colour, DOF, compostion,, and well THE subject and humor. I wish I could give more points, so 101010101101011100 which may or may not be valid binary for 10
oh yeah,, the shine on the err nut, is the only tech point I would make

Awesome Picture ! The only thing that distracts me whilst looking at this shot is the very bright blade of grass on the right hand side, although with it there it isnt that distracting as it keeps me looking at the picture for longer ! :0) My particular favourite thing is the lovely flowing lines in the chestnut itself. Sheer Excellence...

Nice shooting. Challenge met. Good focus, light and colors. The only change would of been the one [right side] blade of grass. I know you didn't plant this, just took the photo. It's a nice shot.

I like this one a lot. The only thing I don't like is the very soft and bright blade of grass in the lower right hand corner. I think this shot would be better without it.

I like the perspective of this shot, the tree in the background gives the photo a bit of a story - can easily imagine this nut having dropped from it.. The sunlight coming in and giving that sheen would normally be a bit distracting but it works here for me. Good colors, very solid photograph. 7

LOL! In the thumbnail you really can't tell what this is and it makes you wonder! This is a wonderful shot, the lighting, the colors, the cropping. My first 10 of the challenge. WELL DONE!
