Stumbled upon this photo via the forums. If I had voted on this I would've given it probably an 8 or a 9. I feel like this captures the essence of bokeh far better than some other photo that scored higher. The range of colors in the background and the simplicity of the subject blowing in the wind really come together for me here.

I have other 10s in this composition, but I would give this an 11 if I could. This is my blue ribbon (which means your score is doomed. Sorry.). Your bokeh as ghosts in it that repeat the shapes of the foreground subject. How the heck did you even do that?? Your subject has beautiful motion blur that would be fascinating even without the magnificent bokeh behind it. Wow, wow and again wow. Have a fave and a smile. :)

You have caputured the true images of bokeh. There was a tutorial on DPC about one year ago that gave a definition of bokeh and how to achieve the little light circles. I believe that is what bokeh is all about. An out of focus background is not true bokeh. If that is what the challenge criteria is then they should rename the challenge to out of focus background. 10

Lots of bokeh, but I don't see anything in focus.

The bokeh is interesting with the repeating patterns however the main subject is blurry and/or moving therefore detracting from the whole image.

I have a hard time finding what is in focus in the photo. I think its the branch in the upper right corner. Overall, I as a viewer, just don't really think that the bokeh here really enhances the photo.

If the image was in focus I would have given it a lot more. It has great potential. 5
