At a local street festival today,Saturday, this little girl was in an inflated enclosure, with balloons. If she caught 3 the same colour she'd win a prize. The windows were plastic and sort of steamy. I took several pictures through the window, while she was bouncing all over.

In Photoshop, I rotated to create a diagonal, darkened the black with curves, and ran it through Neat Image, to clean it up.

The misty looking stuff on the right is actually one of the balloons, that flew by the window, at the right time imho, and the right colour. I couldn't have planned it better.
I'm happy with this and I thank you all for your comments, even those who don't like it. ;-)

I didn't comment on this one during the challenge because I wanted to see what you said about it. I could see that the child was completely absorbed in what she was doing and unaware of you taking her picture, but was wondering about the fading right side.
The more I look at it, the more I like it. Very simple but strong also.

the use of red here does send this to the nightmare side for me. but not sure what is happing in the shot. falling? running? abduction? I guess no matter, the child seems to be in peril. would have liked this more if focus was stronger overall.

This image looks like you accidentally pressed the shutter without knowing it, while having a finger over your lense. I don't want to sound harsh or hurt your feelings (in case you are a young child), but you should not be submitting photos if you are not sure that they are your best. In case this is your best, than I apologize.

I wish you had a title with this so I could get a better idea of what you were aiming for. I'm guessing a child escaping from a fire hence the red and smoke effect? The blurriness of the shot adds to the nightmare aspect but also distracts at the same time, overall a good effort.

Really great, hope you describe how you did this! Love the vivid red against the black.

Freaky. I'd like to know how this was done - almost looks like a finger in front of the lense? 8.
